James Kobak

BIO

Jim “Harvester of Sorrow” Kobak resides in Peru, NY and teaches Science at Peru Central School. Jim grew up as a metal-head in the suburban dystopia of Northern New Jersey. He was highly influenced by the Reagan-Era Thrash metal and hardcore punk movement blowing up in and around NYC in the late 1980s. And was a die-hard a fan of the visuals portrayed on album covers by the likes of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and countless thrash metal bands, His work is usually quite visceral and often has confrontational political and religious undertones. He has spent a lifetime drawing and painting, usually with spray paints and inks on canvas. Jim specializes in skulls, demons, monsters and other bloody nightmare-inducing images... Jim also fronts the Thrash Metal/Punk band Executive Disorder. Like his visual artwork, Jim's music is is confrontational, constantly challenging cultural hegemony. Look for EXECUTIVE DISORDER on all streaming platforms.... AND DESTROY!!!
