Nancy Armitage (aka Form n Func) is an Adirondack native, growing up on the outskirts of Westport. Being surrounded by forest, farm life, and old logging trails nurtured her love of nature and the earth. Working with clay came naturally after being introduced in her first semester of college. Her pottery is heavily inspired by the garden and things found on the forest floor. Her work reflects these ideas by her color palette, textures, and imagery.

We are a crafting couple (Ashley Levasseur & Justin Collins) who use a combination of technological and traditional art tools to create, design, and build a diverse set of products. Our skills range from 3D printing: designing, printing, and modifying—to CNC Milling: designing, carving, sanding, and pro-typing. Traditional methods include acrylic, enamel, spray-paint, and various forms of pigmentation painting to add a pop of color to our creations.

Ryota Matsumoto
As an artist, designer and architect, Ryota is internationally recognized as one of the progenitors of the postdigital art movement. Born in Tokyo, he was raised in Hong Kong and Japan. He received a Master of Architecture degree from University of Pennsylvania in 2007 after his studies at Architectural Association in London, Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow School of Art and University of Miami in early 90’s. He studied with Manuel DeLanda, Vincent Joseph Scully Jr., Cecil Balmond, and Giancarlo De Carlo, among others.
Matsumoto has previously collaborated with a cofounder of the Metabolist Movement, Kisho Kurokawa, and with Arata Isozaki, Peter Christopherson, Cesar Pelli and MIT Media Lab. -
